Griffith Park Hike – Friday @ 6:00 PM

What to expect:

The distance is approximately four to six miles roundtrip. The elevation gain is about eight hundred feet. This isn’t recommended for beginners or people out of shape. This is a moderate hike. If you get separated from us, call the Ranger Station at (323) 913-4688. Please tell an organizer if you leave early so we know you are safe. Members of other hiking groups may occasionally join us. Some of them might be wearing “facial concealment devices.” We may encourage others to take them off to breathe fresh air, but we will treat everyone with dignity and respect.

What to bring:

Shoes or hiking boots with good traction and water. If you bring a flashlight, red, green, and blue lights are preferred. All lights can be used if they are kept away from people’s eyes.

Where:

We meet at the Ranger Station/Griffith Park Visitor Center sign shown in the picture. It is across the street from the merry-go-round and tennis courts. There’s a stop sign at the intersection. GPS apps like google maps or apple maps may not be precise. Click the “Google Map” link below for reference. We will wait approximately 15 minutes and start the hike at 6:15 PM. There is free parking in the back parking lot. Rain cancels this event.
